Fibre glass R.P.Tissue Paper
Pipes and vessels running colder than the surrounding air are usually wrapped in insulation to keep the plant running efficiently. The problem is that moisture vapour can work its way through the insulation or through gaps in its joints, and once it hits the dew point, it condenses. If temperatures fall to freezing, that trapped moisture turns to ice.
That’s a serious issue because damp insulation performs up to 20 times worse than dry insulation and ice formation doesn’t just hurt performance, it can physically damage the insulation, since water expands as it freezes. This is exactly why a reliable vapour barrier matters so much. A glass tissue facing improves the handleability of insulation systems while also reinforcing the material structurally.
Key Properties
Twiga Glass Tissue offers excellent bonding compatibility across the full range of materials used in thermal insulation work — mastics, sealants, adhesives, fire-resistive coatings, anti-abrasion coatings, self-setting cement, and similar compounds.
Twiga Lining Mat
Twiga lining mat rounds out the vapour barrier system, boosting its overall efficiency. It also functions as a fire-resistive and corrosion-resistive protective layer, helping guard against failure of the vapour barrier finish over time.
